How can I set my delivery methods and areas?
Delivery methods are the ways in which your customers can get their order. These are: pick up order, halfway meeting, table reservation. Delivery areas are only valid for the delivery method and represent the areas where you deliver. All these things need to be set for the app and web module to work.
Warning: Whether you've finished all the settings or you've started to make some of them and will continue another time, don't forget to save before leaving the page. To save, click the "Save Changes" button.
Before setting your delivery methods and areas, make sure you've set up your locations and location groups (if applicable).
After that, click "SETTINGS," then "Locations."
Click on the "Edit" button next to the location for which you want to set the delivery methods and areas.
Then click the "Delivery Methods" button to jump to the section to set the delivery methods.
The methods you can use in the TapTasty system are:
Pick-up (using this method, customers will be able to place an order and choose the time to come to the restaurant to pick up the order)
Delivery (using this method, customers will be able to place an order to be delivered to a specific address)
Meet me halfway (using this method, customers will be able to place an order and choose a place from the ones you set where they will receive their order)
Eat on location (using this method, customers will be able to reserve a table in your location)
Self-Ordering (through this method, customers will be able to place orders at the kiosk or via the QR table ordering module
NOTE: This article covers Pick-up, Delivery, and Meet me halfway settings. The articles at the end explain how to set up the table reservation (Eat on location) and self-ordering modules.
Activate the methods you want to use for the selected location. You can do this by clicking on the square next to the word "Enabled" next to the desired method. Once you have activated a method, it will open, and you will need to make some settings. Below are settings common to delivery methods and settings specific to a particular delivery method.
Pick-up / Delivery / Meet me halfway
Tick the payment options you want to activate.
Set the minimum order value (if you want the delivery method to be available regardless of the order value, you can leave 0).
Sets the default waiting time for orders (How long after the order is placed it can be delivered or picked up).
Choose the time from which order numbering starts (Normally, order numbering in the administration panel restarts every day at 00:00 from the number 1. If you want to change the time from which numbering starts again, select the desired time)
If you don't want to have pre-orders, activate the "We don't accept pre-orders" option.
Tick "Time and Date" and set the operating hours (tick the days and choose the time slot in which you want the method to be available). If you work with several time intervals in one day, you can add more intervals using the "Add" button next to the day for which you want to add an interval.
The "Just date" and "Deactivate hour and date" options allow end customers to choose only the date on which the order will be delivered, respectively not to choose when the order will be delivered (In this case, the order will be delivered depending on the default waiting time.
Offset and Period - with these options you can set the day and the interval of days in which you allow the customer to place an order.
To understand better, here are some examples:If you introduce 0 to "Offset" and 1 to "Period," the customer can place an order only on the day the app is accessed.
If you introduce 0 to "Offset" and 2 for "Period," the customer can place an order on the day the app is accessed and the following day.
If you introduce 1 to "Offset" and 2 to "Period," the customer won't be able to order on the day the app is accessed but for the next two days.
Delivery
An essential element in the correct operation of delivery is the setting of delivery radii. To do this, there are two options:
First option
Under "Delivery rules," click the "Set radius area" option.
Complete the fields with the necessary information: enter the distance to which you deliver, add the neighborhoods or cities/villages within this distance where you want to deliver, and enter the shipping cost and the minimum order value.
If you want to add more fields for the same rule, click the "Add" button.
If you want to add another rule, click the "Add rule" button and repeat the procedure.
The second option
Under "Delivery rules," click on the option "Set draw area."
Enter the area information (name, delivery cost, minimum order value, etc.) and draw the shape to include the addresses you deliver to (you can circle them - the first option, you can circle them in a shape you draw - the second option, you can enclose them in a rectangle - the third option).
To create multiple areas with a drawn radius, click the "Add zone" button, and a new area will appear.
Meet me halfway
The only additional setting you need to make with this method is to set the places the customer can choose to receive their order.
Click the "Add" button and enter the required information.
Finally, don't forget to click the "Save" button at the top right to save the changes.
